Pastel Sermons in Art

As both an artist and evangelist, I think I can offer a unique presentation of the Gospel that touches the hearts of young and old alike. As I preach, I create a beautifully realistic paintings using artists’ pastels that illustrate my spoken message. Recorded music enhances the sermon, producing a multi-media message that emotionally engages listeners through head and heart. Many people have been moved to a new understanding and awareness of God’s love and grace, resulting in a deeper faith and commitment to Christ. The images displayed to the right represent just a few of the more than a dozen different art sermons I have presented in churches throughout the state of Arizona.

As a professional artist, I love being able to combine my two passions for preaching and painting. Over the past 20 years I have presented nearly one hundred art sermons in churches in Arizona. Currently I am serving part-time on the staff of Willowbrook United Methodist Church in Sun City, AZ. Although I have responsibilities with my church, I have a certain amount of flexibility to preach and present art sermons in other churches.

I'm available for special evening programs as well as occasional Sunday morning services, depending on my responsibilities at Willowbrook. My art sermons provide an attractive program for group meetings and church dinners, special evangelistic outreach programs, worship services or other special events. I have presented art sermons for groups as small as 20 people and as large as 300.

Pastel Art Sermons for Sale

Because of the interest in my religious pastels, I have many of my pastel paintings available for sale. All pastels are mounted under double mats and ready to be framed under glass. The large pastels (24"x30") are priced at $160.00 and smaller pastels (18"x24"), also mounted and double matted, are priced at $125.00. And I am happy to accept commissions.
